Cleaning
‘Clean up’ and ‘keep clean’ are at the root of the majority of our multifunctional packages for both open flame and internal combustion system enhancement. Economy
Fuel economy in any system and in any equipment is largely achieved by maintaining that equipment at ‘factory settings’ or at its design parameters. Fuel additives that slow down or even stop the rate at which equipment ‘gets dirty’ or ‘fouls up’; all aid fuel economy. This may also be achieved by proper maintenance of the fuel in storage or by affecting its behaviour within the equipment.
Maintenance
exocet® fuel additive products used for maintenance are diverse, ranging for the one off rapid injector cleaning additives to fuel soluble biocides as well as tank cleaning and associated products.
Performance
‘Performance’, when attached to fuel, often conjures images of ‘faster’, ‘more powerful’ or ‘more economical’ and all of these can be achieved with the appropriate fuel additives. Fuel additives can also impact on fuel in storage, the handling properties of fuel and on the harmful effects the fuel itself can have on components within the fuel system both before and after the combustion process.

Application

Stop-start, city-type driving and general low mileage vehicle use inhibit the continual regeneration of a DPF, now a fundamental part of the emissions control system on a diesel-engined vehicle. This causes the filter to become fouled with soot (partially burned fuel) and leads to much reduced engine performance and higher fuel consumption. Added directly into the vehicle fuel tank, exocet® SmartDrive can be used in three ways: i) As a continuous use additive for those vehicles always driving an urban cycle; ii) Periodically (e.g. every 2,000 miles) as a maintenance tool or in response to the engine management or DPF failure warning light(s) showing; iii) Added to the dedicated DPF additive reservoir fitted to certain vehicles. 200ml of additive treats 50 litres of fuel
